There are five basic types of goods receiving:

Documents Receiving of goods, which changes the balance at a warehouse and creates a liability to the supplier and cost invoices.
Internal Internal receipt of goods (for example, packing slips for collective issues, goods on loan).
Consolidated Invoice multiple internal receiving slips with one invoice which does not change the balance at the warehouse.
Prepayment Prepayments made for goods and services
