Egg production and packing

Egg production and packing

Module enables recording of eggs laying and packing. User records number of layed eggs, number of eggs that remain on stock (after packing) and number of eggs, broken from hatching to packing (shrinkage).

In the upper section default warehouse is automatically selected. User sets default warehouse for eggs in Administration panel. He can also change warehouse. Laying date and packing date are set automatically as date of data insertion. For all EU localizations we limited difference in days between these two dates on 10 days (according to EU legislation). Animal group is set based on selected group in laying hens module.

Grid details contain details about egg packages. Packaged eggs have to be inserted in items as packages with packed items. Packed items have to be added to Administration panel.

Packaged Eggs Packages that will be created and added to stock.
Qty Quantity of packages.
Packed Item Items (eggs) that will be first added to stock and then used in egg packing.
Packed Eggs Qty Quantity of packed eggs. This quantity is calculated automatically from packages qty and total eggs qty.
Total Eggs Qty Total quantity of laid eggs.
Eggs on stock Eggs that will remain on stock. This number is difference between Packed Eggs Qty and Total Eggs Qty.
Shrinkage Broken eggs that were not used in packing. Eggs are added on stock but later automatically removed through shrinkage document.
Eggs, weight Average weight of individual egg.

User can insert data in differently ways:

  • if he inserts Qty, Packed eggs qty and Total eggs qty will be calculated automatically
  • if he inserts Total eggs qty, Qty and Packed eggs qty will be calculated automatically. In case that total eggs qty is bigger than Packed eggs qty, rest of eggs will be automatically added to stock. If he wants to add Shrinkage, he has to insert it manually and it will be reduced from eggs on stock.

Once this process is saved, information will be added to tab egg production.

User can see the same data for each packing with additional information about created documents:

  • Receiving Doc. = document that adds eggs on stock.
  • Work order = process that packs eggs.
  • Shrinkage = process that writes off broken eggs from stock.

All documents can be opened on double click. Receiving and shrinkage documents are defined in Administration panel.

User has to define eggs with serial number type K because each process creates serial number for egg traceability. Serial number is created automatically based on EU defined rules. Information for serial number creation are defined at Animal groups. If user wants, he can also trace eggs packs through serial numbers. IN that case serial number of produced packs are automatically defined ad packing date.
