Fertilization types

There are several Fertilization application types. They differ significantly regarding real nutrient usage. For instance, if we spray foliar 1 kg of nitrogen plant will absorb much more in relation to the same amount of nitrogen fertilized by broadcasting. Also, it is known that fertigation (fertilizer application by irrigation system) is much more efficient then putting fertilizer on the soil.

When installing Farming we add automatically following Fertilization types:

By default Broadcasting is set as default as in many countries this type of fertilizing is dominant and Fertilization Plans are made. In any case, at the moment Fertilization Plans are made according to Broadcasting. But we can propose different Fertilizer uses if we choose othe Fertilization Types then Broadcasting and if we set Nutrient usage according to default Broadcasting. These new values are stated as "Corrected" values in Fertilization type.

We can also add some new Fertilization Plans and set Nutrient Usages and then use them in Fertilization planning and in Fertilizer task realization.

Following are options which helps nutrition proffesionals to easier complete their nutrition programs.

Use fertilization type for calculating nutrition balance
First option enables nutrient calculations regarding fertilization types.

Example 1
Fertilization type is set on fertigation with nutrient usage of 90%.
Fertilizer is MKP (0-52-34)
Fertilizer qty is 100 kg.

When calculating P nutrient given with such fertilization we calculate:
100 kg x 52% = 52 kg of nutrient P is added by such fertilization.
Additionally, if "Use fertilization type for calculating nutrition balance" is checked, Farming will calcluate that "Nutrient usage" for fertigation is 90%.
So, further calculation will be as follows:
52 kg x 90% usage = 46,8 kg of P will be used by fertilized plants.

It is very important to mention that such functionality have to be used in general and for all nutrition programs.
If no fertilization type is added to task with fertilizers as added material, then default fertilization type will be taken into account.

Decrease nutrient addition
Second option is Decrease nutrient addition.
This option lowers down nutrient qty calculated from fertilizer qty and nutrient content in fertilizers, for percentage added in the field.

Example 2
Regarding Example 1, after we calculated that 52 kg of P will be added with 100 kg of MKP, if we added 20 % for decrease of nutrient addition, calculation will be as follows:
52 kg x (100%-20%) = 41,6 kg of P

This means that only 41,6 kg of P plant will absorb and use for there developement.

Nutrition color settings

This part of settings enables us to choose background color regarding nutrient content. Colors can quickly imply the meaning of certain values. In this example bacground color for values between 35 and 99999 will be colored red. This is applied for instant in Nutrient balance calculation on Nutrition tyb within Expert models
