Reproduction events

Reproduction events

Reproduction events tab is a functionality that enables overview and recording of reproduction events for all animals in one place. Animal type filter serves as filter to show just animals of selected type. All information that are recorded here are also saved on animal record. When user inserts information row in grid is marked as changed. Data is saved with click on button refresh.

Functionality is divided in two parts:

  • Upper section shows animals without previous reproduction events, animals that were just inseminated and are not selected as pregnant and animals that just finished reproduction cycle and are waiting for new insemination.
  • Lower section shows animals that were selected as pregnant.

Not pregnant animals

Animal ID ID of animal. Double click opens animal record.
No. Serial number of reproduction cycle. Selected animal above has previously 10 reproduction cycle inserted.
Insemination Date Date of animal insemination.
Insemination Type

Type of insemination. User has different options:

  • Insemination (AS)
  • Repeated Insemination (AR)
  • Natural Insemination (NS)
  • Repeated Natural Insemination (NR)
Veterinarian Farmer inserts veterinarian, who performed an insemination.
Price Price (or cost) of insemination.
Sire from register User selects sire from register, that is inserted in Administration panel. Selection of sire from register will automatically fill other sire data (Sire ID, Sire Name, Sire Reg. No.). Sire is selected from dropdown list and has to be inserted in Bull register. How sire is shown in dropdown depens if stock management is activated for sire semen or not. Sire ID ID of sire that inseminated this cow.
Father's' Name Name of sire that inseminated this cow.
Is Pregnant Information if animal is pregnant.
Sire Semen ID The registration number of the sire that inseminated the cow. Sire semen can be either selected from dropdown (list changes if stock is managed or not) or selected on right click from breeding planner.
Note Note by user
Changed If field is selected means that data was added or changed in grid, but not jet updated to animal record. Such data will be discarded on closing if data is not refreshed by clicking on button Refresh.
Unsuccessful Checkbox enables that reproduction cycle is closed with outcome Unsuccessful insemination. Today's date will be automatically saved to this event.

Outcome

The outcome of the insemination. Options are:

  • Calving (CL)
  • Abortus (AB)
  • Unsuccessful insemination (US)
Live Births Number of live born calves.
Stillbirths Number of stillbirth calves.
Note Note by user
