Ad-Hoc analysis

The Ad-Hoc tab is intended for comparing the plan with corresponding results on the document form for Planning. The analysis is done on the Ad-Hoc panel which enables dynamic data analyses. It contains these sections:

(Template editor)

Opens a template editor. The button is disabled when the form is empty.

Plan
|
Select a plan type to analyse. Plans that can be selected are:
- Sales plan – achieved sales, compared to plan in the Sales tab,
- Purchase plan – achieved purchase, compared to plan in the Purchase tab
- Financial plan – achieved financials, compared to plan in the Finance tab,
- Payroll plan – achieved work hours and payroll costs, compared to plan in the Payroll tab,
- Inflow/Outflow – comparison of sales and purchase plan.

Compare
|
Select by which measure the plan will be analysed:
- Sales = Quantitiy and Value
- Purchase = Quantitiy and Value
- Finance = only Value, combobox is disabled.
- Payroll = Hours, Net, Gross, Gross II
- Inflow/Outflow = only Value, combobox is disabled.

Cumulative
|
This option enables the calculation of cummulative values. When the checkbox is selected, monthly values will not be displayed for the individual month, but for all the selected months + all the previous months.
E. g. January = January; February = January + February; March = January + February + March, etc.

Template
|
This combobox enables selecting templates for data vizualization. The template determines structure, filters and chart visualisation on the Ad-Hoc panel. The combobox shows the plan name, description and date of last data preparation.

(Reset to default structure)
|
Resets custom data settings to default: Position in row section and Year and Month in column section.
|

(Export to Excel)
|
Exports data as shown on the grid in Excel format.
|

(Show/Hide chart in horizontal layout)
|
Shows (or removes) the chart in horizontal layout (to the right of the data panel).
|

(Show/Hide chart in vertical layout)
|
Shows (or removes) the chart in vertical layout (below the data panel).
|
Recalculate
|
Button that prepares data. If a template is selected, data will be shown according to selected template. Without a template, the entire data set will be shown.

Load
|
Loads data from the table. The button only applies to the financial plan.

Hint
Clicking on the Chart button will either open a chart or close it, depending on whether it is closed or open (it perform the opposite of the current state).

The functioning of the Data analysis panel is the same as on Ad-Hoc analysis.

Clicking on the
(Template editor) button will open a panel where the template for plan analysis is prepared. Each template is limited to the individual plan document and plan type unless it is marked differently. This template stores the following information about Ad-Hoc:
- Dimension/Measure structure – dimensions and measurements on the panel
- Dimension location – dimension on the row and on the column section
- Filter – filters for all dimensions/measures
- Chart – whether it is visible and where it is located

(navigator)

The navigator enables creating, saving, browsing and deleteting stored templates.

Name
|
Name of the template as it is visible in the Template combobox on the Analysis form.
|
Description
|
Description of the template.
|
Use in all plans of this type
|
If this checkbox is enabled, it enables using this template on all plans of this type.
For example, if the template is created for sales plan analysis, it will also be visible on other documents if the plan analysis is analysed by type sales.
