Basic Bill Of Materials (BOM)

Bills of materials (BOMs) are used in manufacturing to determine the structure of a product. The Basic BOM in PANTHEON is the basic element of the multi-level BOM structure of products. It forms the basis from which data is used to create a plan BOM or a manufacturing BOM, which are adjusted to the manufacturing requirements.

The following chapters describe the process of creating, editing and using the BOM in PANTHEON.

Process of creating a basic BOM This chapter describes the process of creating a BOM for a new Tecta product.
Creating a basic BOM This chapter shows an example of how to create a new BOM for the product LARA3. A pre-prepared item is linked to the BOM and the materials and work operations needed to manufacture the product are added to the BOM according to a carefully prepared plan.
Alternates This chapter shows the examples of how to create an alternate and copy BOMs.
BOM history This chapter shows an example of how to save a the BOM structure to history for future reuse.
Documents This chapter shows an example of how to add documentation to the basic BOM.
Cost estimation This chapter shows an example of how to perform a cost estimation for a newly created BOM. Cost estimation is a tool that can be used to calculate the various costs of manufacturing a product before the actual manufacturing starts.
