Planning Manufacturing

Planning is one of the key processes in manufacturing, which aside from production itself, also encompasses purchasing and sale processes. Planning is normally done in hierarchical planning cycles, medium term, operation planning and fine short-term scheduling of production.

The following pages of this chapter present cases from the Tecta company concerning creating a monthly plan from sales orders in PANTHEON. You will create a Schedule which will be used to check the material needs and availability of resources. The missing material needs will be ordered with purchase orders. Lastly, you will use the plan to create work orders which represent the last level of planning manufacturing.

Creating a Plan A presentation of creating a monthly manufacturing plan from sales orders. Using this tool, you can plan the manufacturing work schedule for a specific period and ensure timely production and delivery of products.
Scheduling An example of creating a schedule form the monthly manufacturing plan. Scheduling is a tool for calculating material and other needs to realize the manufacturing plan.
Creating Purchase Orders from Schedule An example of creating purchase orders for material needs calculated from the schedule. Creating orders from the schedule is a tool for ordering material needs to suppliers, which makes the user's work with tracking needed, ordered and received quantities easier.
Creating Work Orders from Schedule A presentation of creating work orders in manufacturing from the schedule. Using this tool, you can easily create work orders with all data defined in the process of planning manufacturing.
