Inseminations

On the tab Inseminations all inseminations and re-inseminations for the selected animal are displayed.

WARNING Tab Inseminations is displayed only when we select to view the history of the animal of the species: CATTLE.

TIP The technical instructions for the insemination tab can be read in the PANTHEON VET Guide in the chapter History of treatments under point 3.

 In this chapter, we will present an example of reviewing the insemination of cattle. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Animal history overview | Inseminations.

CASE DESCRIPTION The veterinarian is interested in the history of the insemination of cattle with the code: SI3513017429, owned by Eva Angus. He will look at this in the Animal History Overview form. Follow the steps: Animal History Overview form Inseminations Tab

1. Animal History Overview form

The responsible person wants to view the history of cattle inseminations on the animal history overview form.

On the form, the owner’s details are already filled in: Eva Angus.

TIP Instructions for searching for the owner on the Animal History Overview form can be read in the chapter Searching in Animal History Overview and Advanced search.

Tab Basic data is empty as the owner has multiple animals.

To display a specific cattle, the responsible person manually enters the code in the field Animal SI3513017429. A dropdown list appears from which cattle is selected.

Continues to the insemination history overview.

2. Inseminations Tab

The responsible person is interested in the history of the insemination of the cow, so they go to the tab Inseminations.

The veterinarian can see details for each insemination about the date, type of treatment document, inseminator code, bull's RŠ, semen series, calving process, etc.

If we look at the first position or the first record of insemination:  

• Displayed is Date of insemination performed: 20.04.2021
• In the field Treatment the type of treatment document is recorded: 21-HCL3-000012

TIP By double-clicking on the field Treatment the related created treatment document opens.

• In the next column, related Documents, in our case: 21-3507-000006, which represents the delivery note of the bull's semen.

TIP By double-clicking on the field Document the related created document opens.

• In the column Veterinarian it shows which veterinarian performed the specific treatment: Valentin Veterinarian. Further, there is a record of his Inseminator code and Insemination certificate number.
• In this insemination, it was Type of insemination: First insemination.
• Next, there are data about Bull's RŠ, Bull's name, Semen series, Calving date, how the calving went and Number of calves.

• At the bottom, there is a field showing data about the material or semen used for the selected treatment document. So in our case, the responsible person sees that the semen used for insemination was: SERGO (SIM).
