Label printing

Veterinarians often record data on used medications or treatment procedures for animals in special records needed by the animal owner (Stable Book). The PANTHEON Vet program allows for easy printing of labels with the necessary information, which especially speeds up the entry when there are multiple animals.

In this chapter, we will present an example of printing a label for entry in the Stable Book, through the use of the button  (Label printing). The functionality is located in the treatment documents found in the menu Veterinary | Treatment.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Label printing.

CASE DESCRIPTION

A cattle owner, Gregor Holstain, came to the veterinary clinic. The veterinarian in the field had previously taken a blood sample from the animals in his barn, which confirmed a bacterial infection causing severe diarrhea in cattle in the laboratory. The owner will now pick up the medication at the veterinary clinic, which he will administer to the animals. The treatment data must be entered in the Stable Book. The receptionist will do this by following these steps:

  1. Searching for treatment

  2. Label printing

1. Searching for treatment

The veterinarian who took the blood samples and sent them to the laboratory ordered the issuance of medications for the treatment of specific animals after receiving the results and informed the owner to pick up the medications. The responsible person in the veterinary clinic who will issue the medication searches for the treatment.

  • The responsible person searches for the owner. The detailed search procedure is described in the chapter Searching.

  • The list of open treatments for the owner can be found in the tab list Open treatments. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Open cases.

  • In our case, the responsible person opens Treatment: 23-CLI3-000004 with a double click.

2. Label printing

The responsible person, upon issuing medications from the pharmacy, enters the data into the appropriate record of the owner. For this purpose, they print a label and attach it to the owner's Stable Book.

  • The responsible person clicks the button Label printing.

  • A form opens Label printing.

  • The responsible person checks the checkbox All animals together.

  • Then clicks the button Print.

  • A print preview of the label appears: 6V0 - Label printing.

  • The responsible person clicks the button  (Print).
