New tax rate
The New tax rate button can be found in the right of the toolbar of the Tax rates register.
Clicking on this button opens a blank panel for adding a new tax rate to the register.

An enabled toggle button shows that the payment method is active and shown on all drop-down lists.
An inactive tax rate is not shown as an option when creating new items or documents. |

Enter a 2-character alphanumerical code of the desired tax rate. |
| Name |
Tax rate name (up to 48 characters). |
| VAT % |
Selected tax rate percentage for this tax rate.

WARNING
- If the tax rate has already been used in the Items register, changing the tax rate entered here also affects the calculation of the selling and retail prices, so caution is required!
- Therefore, when changing the tax rate in the register, the program requires a confirmation of the operation before saving the change. For more information, see chapter Do you really want to change the tax percentage?.

WARNING
If we want to delete a tax rate that has already been used used on documents, the program issues a warning: The tax rate is already in use and cannot be deleted.
