SMS Notification Service VET (use case)

The SMS notification service (VET) eWorkflow enables us to easily send SMS notifications about general services of the veterinary clinic, such as lowering the service prices for example.

HINT

The following is a use case of a preliminary business process for SMS notification service of the owners.

CASE SUMMARY

The receptionist of the Bestia veterinary clinic would like to send their clients an SMS notification about a special offer for spring care of cat hair that they will be offering in the upcoming months. They send the notification by following these steps:

  1. Sending email and SMS messages
  2. Entering the criteria
  3. Entering the message and sending an SMS notification
  4. SMS notification receipt display
  5. Sent SMS notifications display

 

WARNING

The person responsible must have the SMS notification service activated, and the settings, which affect the success of the business process, configured. The settings for the successful operation of the business process are a one-time process. If you have already completed it, you can skip this step.

 

1. Sending email and SMS messages

The receptionist opens the Veterinarian | Reception menu, where all the created dates and tasks for the current week are displayed.

They click the (Wizards) button in the toolbar and select Send SMS or email.

The Sending SMS messages and email form opens up. TheSMS tab opens automatically.

They continue with criteria entry.

2. Entering the criteria

In the Criteria section they determine the criteria with which a list of owners, who have already taken advantage of the special offer, will generate itself.

They can also choose the item, primary or secondary classification, animal ID, etc.

In this case they type "cat" into the Animal Categ.(Animal Category) field and select the category from the drop-down list, since they want to send the notification to all cat owners.

HINT

Read the technical instructions and Criteria section field descriptions under item 1. in the chapter Send SMS or email of the technical manual.

 

When the criteria is entered they click the Search button.

In the middle part of the form Filtered owner list the owners that fit the criteria will appear.

WARNING

They must have a telephone number in the Subject register and notification consent. The latter is defined with a check mark next to the individual contact information.

 

By clicking the (Add all) button, they move all the owners that they will send the SMS notification to into the Selected owners section.

They continue onto the entry or selection of the SMS notification template.

3. Entering the message and sending an SMS notification

They can enter the text that they would like to send to the animal owners Into the SMS text field manually, or select a preliminary template of the text from the field below.

In this case they will select a preliminary template of the text: Spring care of cat hair special offer.

When the text is written or the template selected, they can use it for all selected owners by clicking the Use for All button.

The text of the template will appear:

The templates which have the SMS general Template type will appear on the list.

To send the message click the Send button.

the SMS notification service (VET) eWorkflow, which sends the text of the SMS notification to the selected recipients, will start.

A notification of the SMS notification being successfully sent will appear.

The informative window is confirmed by clicking the Confirm button.

With that, the business process is completed.

HINT

By clicking the Refresh button, the owners that the SMS messaga has been sent to will be moved to the History tab.


4. Display of SMS notification receipt

The owners will receive an SMS notification about the spring care of cat hair special offer to their telephone number:

In case the telephone number is incorrect, the SMS message will not be sent.

5. Sent SMS notifications display

By clicking the Refresh button, the owners that the SMS message has been sent to will be moved to the History tab.
