SMS Notification Service About Appointments (use case)

eWorkflow Appointments SMS notification service enables notifying the owners of upcoming appointments for their animals at the veterinary clinic.

The following shows a use case of a preliminary business process for the notification of owners about appointments.

CASE SUMMARY

The receptionist of the Bestia veterinary clinic would like to send a notification about upcoming appointments for their pets to the owners. In the Reception module they have the created check up appointments for the animals in the following days. They send the notifications by following these steps:

  1. Display of the SMS list
  2. Starting up the business process
  3. Display of SMS notification receipt of the owners
  4. Display of sent SMS notifications

 

WARNING

The person responsible must have the SMS notification service activated, and the settings, which affect the success of the business process, configured. The settings for the operation of the business process are a one-time process. If you have already completed it, you can skip this step.

1. Display of the SMS list

The receptionist selects the Veterinarian | Reception menu. A display of all the created appointments and tasks for the current week will be displayed.

 

HINT

On the Reception form they click the View SMS list button.

A new window with data about the SMS notifications that still have to be sent out will open.

HINT

You can create a reminder that will remind you to send SMS notifications. You can read about the process of creating a reminder in the Creating reminders chapter.

 

The person responsible continues to the business process start up.

2. Starting up the business process

The person responsible starts up the business process of sending SMS notifications to owners about upcoming appointments for their animals.

In the toolbar the person responsible clicks the (Wizards) button and selects the Appointment SMS notification service eWorkflow.

A notification of the SMS notification being successfully sent will appear.

The person responsible verifies the information window by clicking the Confirm button.

With that, the business process is completed.

3. Display of SMS notification receipt of the owners

The owners receive an SMS notification about the appointment to their telephone number.

HINT

If the telephone number is incorrect, the SMS message will not be sent

4. Display of sent SMS notifications

The person responsible can review or check the sent notifications on the form History tab, SMS message sending.
