Change User






Function Change user allows you to log on as a different user or to lock PANTHEON from unauthorized users without closing it. The keyboard shortcut is CTRL + U.
The form is the same as when logging into PANTHEON the first time.

Warning
- Logon window is always displayed at the start of the program.
- If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enabled, a MFA Login form opens after a successful login, for additional authentication. Read more about MFA in chapter Multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- For logging into PANTHEON Retail (RT), read the chapter Log in to POS.

Below the image, in the center, the build number of your PANTHEON executable is shown.
Authentication |
SQL Server or Windows authentication. To use Windows authentication, there must be a user in the Pantheon with the name it has in the Windows environment: user or domain name\user. |
User |
Enter the 30-character user ID. |
Password |
Enter the password associated with the user. No password needed for Windows Authentication login. |
Company |
Select the company and associated database you wish to log on to.
The company name is displayed as set in Program parameters | General. The associated database is shown in parentheses.
The list displays companies and databases that are stored in PANTHEON's INI file.
Shown are only databases you are authorized for.
Click the Refresh button to refresh the list of companies. It is located in drop down menu of databases.

Contact your support provider if your company/database does not appear in the list.

Refresh |
Click this button to refresh the list of companies and associated databases from the database server.
A list of all companies and databases found on the database server are saved to PANTHEON's INI file. |
Change password

Click this button to show the panel for changing your password.
You have to type in your old password and twice a new password, the second time for confirmation. |
Server |
The name of the database server you are connecting to. Specified in PANTHEON's INI file. |
Database |
The name of the database you are connecting to. |
Workstation |
The name of the workstation from where PANTHEON has been started. This field is visible only if you were logged on before and have opened the logon screen within PANTHEON, or the name of the workstation is given as a command line parameter). |
Logon |
Click this button to log on with the specified user name, password, and company. |
Quit |
Click here to quit PANTHEON. You are prompted if you really want to do so (see Do you really want to quit). |
Possible errors:
You cannot log on without specifying a user and typing in the correct password.
