Filtering Tasks by Period

On the To-Do list, we usually have many tasks.

If we want to find exact tasks or available time slots when a certain task can still be completed, we can use Filters.

One of the simpler filters is period selection on the Calendar.

A selected period on the Calendar can be selected in the Tab View as well as the Calendar View.

CASE SUMMARY

In the Tecta company, the person responsible is in charge of booking customers. To book their slot, customers contact the person responsible daily.

For this purpose, the person responsible checks the status of available slots in their calendar, following the steps described below.

The person responsible, who is taking reservations, wants to check available slots for booking customers.

The person responsible does this in Calendar, on the To-Do form.

The person responsible clicks on the date 17.6.2024. Then, the person responsible clicks and holds the left mouse button and drags the mouse to the end of the selected period, to 30.6.2024.

The selected period changes colour to yellow on the calendar.

The filtered list of tasks is displayed on the right side of the form, in this case in the Tab View.

Only tasks from the selected period are shown.

HINT
  1. Period display can also be defined by filtering, with the use of the Date From-To filters.
  2. For a more detailed description of filtering tasks for display with the use of different criteria filters see chapter Filtering Tasks by Different Criteria.
