Adding Functional States of Fixed Assets

PANTHEON

 

Functional states provide additional information of the fixed asset's current functional state, such as active, inactive or damaged. When a new functional state is required, it can be easily added in the Functional States of Fixed Assets register.

 

Case summary

Person responsible wishes to add a new functional state In Repair in order to keep track of fixed assets (FA) which are currently not in use due to being repaired.

1. Accessing the Fixed Assets Register

Person responsible opens the Fixed Assets register by navigating to Financials | Fixed Assets | Fixed Assets.

 

The Fixed Assets register opens.

In the next step, the person responsible opens the Functional States of Fixed Assets register.

2. Accessing the Functional States of Fixed Assets register

The person responsible double clicks the Status field in the Header.

 

The Functional States of Fixed Assets register opens in a new tab.

In the next step, the person responsible adds a new functional state.

3. Adding a New Functional State

Person responsible clicks the Insert Record button on the Toolbar to create a new group.

 

A new, empty line appears in the list.

 

The person responsible clicks the Type field and enters In R. and then clicks the Name field and enters In Repair.

 

The person responsible clicks the Post Edit button on the Toolbar to save the new group.

The new functional state is now created, saved, and ready for use.
