1 Piece = 1 WO

The 1 Piece = 1 WO option can be used to create work orders:

  • If an item consists of child items for which serial number tracking is cheked and you would like to keep track which component has been used in a finished product. Having selected the Total Quantity on One WO option and created two items, only the information on components making up those two items would be recorded, and not individual components.
  • In case you are manufacturing two different products for which materials with different prices are used. Whenever you would like to know production price for each individual item (e.g. for a computer with a 160 Gb hard drive and another computer with a 320 Gb hard drive), you must manufacture these items using two separate work orders. In such a case select 1 Piece = 1 WO option. On the other hand, if you selected Total Quantity on One WO, the valuation prices would be the same. That is, it would be the total of average prices of materials used.
