Semi-transparent IDs combine characteristics of transparent and non-transparent IDs. They are made up of a transparent prefix and a non-transparent sequential number. Specifying the prefix (that is, the transparent part of the ID), you can specify a manufacturer, product group, product use, etc. The prefix is followed by the item’s consecutive number, which is usually generated automatically.
