Set Commercial Spec for source and Plan Spec for destination specification in the Copy Specification window.

To copy, follow the steps below:

• A check is run before actually starting to copy. It is obligatory that you enter an item for source specification. On the other hand, set plan ID, line number and alternate for destination specification. The messages described in the previous topic are displayed in case of errors occurring.
• This is followed by checking of item types set in the Component Item Type box. Lines containing items that do not belong to any of the types will not be copied.
• Before actually starting to copy, it checks for quantity (batch) in source specification. Volume (shrinkage also) recorded in lines of specification is recalculated to the value of one (1).
• Before copying, quantity in line of plan is checked. It is a total of scrap and waste quantities. If it is zero (0), value one (1) is used in recalculated quantity requirements. Quantity in line of plan is used in calculating volume for lines containing Batch quantity and calculating set-up time in operations.
• The following parameter Scrap and Waste Included in Quantity is checked before copying. If set, they affect calculation of required quantities. Net quantity is equivalent to the required quantity less scrap and waste in case Scrap and Waste Included in Quantity is checked. Gross quantity is equivalent to the required quantity. If it is not selected, net quantity is equivalent to the quantity required. At the same time gross quantity is increased by scrap and waste quantities.
• Copying lines to destination specification depends on the mode you selected.

  • Overwrite Spec

  Use this method to overwrite specification alternate. If alternate in set to All for destination spec, zero value (0) is entered in specification alternate field. Here you have to take into account that overwriting deletes tools entered in alternates.

  • Append at End of Spec

  If selected, lines of source specification will be appended at the end of destination specification.

  • Add Missing Spec Lines

  First it is checked whether a record with the same alternate and line number exists in destination specification. If no such record exists, it is entered. Otherwise not.

• After copying finishes, start and end dates in plan specification are calculated.
