Disposal may be perfomed after you have calculated depreciation and established the current value that has been written off and the carrying value of the fixed asset.

 

If you have posted Upward revaluation with the fixed asset, then you need to post also its subsequent reversal prior to disposal of the fixed asset (e.g. by its selling off or by its permanent deactivation). But if you have posted Downward revaluation with the fixed asset, then you need to post alos its subsequent reversal prior to disposal of the fixed asset.

 

By using the Disposal of fixed assets function from the Right mouse click menu you automatically perform disposal of the fixed asset together with the reversal of upward or downward revaluation of the fixed asset.
