Mass Copying of Product Specifications to Plan Specifications
First select the Mass tab in the Copy Specification window. Here you then set Product Specifcation for source and Plan Spec for destination specification. IDs of source specifications are copied to corresponding destination specifications.
To copy, follow the steps below:

Before actually copying, apropriate data are collected and displayed accordingly.
Criteria in Source Specification (Product Specification)
Item |
Enter or select an item of specification to copy. Make use of the % wildcard. |
Name |
Enter or select a name of the item. Make use of the % wildcard. |
Prim. Cat. |
Set a primary category ID. Make use of the % wildcard. |
Secondary Categ. |
Set a secondary category ID. Make use of the % wildcard. |
Tools |
If checked, tools used in operations get copied. |
Small Tools |
If checked, small tools used in operations get copied. |

Regulations |
If checked, regulations set for operations get copied. |
Product Item Type / Component Item Type

Check item type(s) to include. |

Check component item types to include in copying. Those you leave unchecked, of course, won't be used when copying. |
Criteria of Destination Specification (Plan Spec)
Plan From |
To make the option available, you have to set plan spec above. Enter or select an ID of plan from which to copy. |

To make the option available, you have to set plan spec above. Enter or select an ID of plan to which to copy. The plan entered in the Plan From field is displayed by default. |
Item |
Enter or select IDs (items) in line of plan where to copy product specification. Make use of the % wildcard. |
Name |
aYou can also select a name of the item. Make use of the % wildcard. |
Lines without Specs Only |
If checked, data are collected only from lines of plan which don't contain specification. |
Mode
Overwrite Spec |
If selected, the existing specification is overwritten with source specification. |
Append at End of Spec |
If selected, all lines of source specification will be appended to the existing specification. |
Add Missing Spec Lines |
If selected, lines of source specification will be added to the existing specification. |
Having entered criteria click the Refresh Data button to generate a list containing specifications that meet set criteria.

Mass Copy Specs List:
Sel. |
If checked, it marks a specification to be copied. You can do this by using right-click menu as well.

Prod. Spec - Item
|
Enter or select a product specification ID.
Here is by default displayed ID of line of plan. The field is empty if product specification does not exist for item in line of plan, and the Sel. checkbox is unchecked. The user can set some other item of product specifcation.

Prod. Spec - Alt. |
Enter or select an alternate of source specification. It is displayed in accordance with value entered in the Alternate field. If an alternate is not included in the product specification of plan, the lowest number is set for source alternate. You can change alternate, that is, enter or select an alternate contained in the specification. |
Name |
Displays a short text giving description of item (naming it). |
Item Type |
Displays an item type. |
Prim. Cat. |
Displays a primary category ID. |
Secondary Categ. |
Displays a secondary category ID. |
Plan |
Enter or select a plan ID. |
Plan Line |
Displays a number of line in plan. |
Plan - Item |
Displays an ID of item in plan. |
Plan - Alternate |
Displays a plan alternate. You can change source alternate, that is, select it from the lookup table where you can find alternates from 0-250. |
Then click Copy to launch operation. The process of copying and checking of an individual item is the same as when copying single product specification to commercial specification.
