Add New Position of Employment

When one or multiple employees need to be reassigned to a new position, we can do so by choosing the Wizard from the Taskbar menu.  The Add New Position of employment function is available only on the Employment Record panel. This command will clear all data in the Previous Employment section below in the Employment Record panel form and will enable a new entry.

1. Header Description

After choosing Add New Position from the Wizard, a new form opens

Through the wizard we can add new positions individually to one or more employees at the same time based on the following criteria:

Status We select the criteria based on the status the employee has it set in header of the employee file. Which means that the new position will be added only to those employees that have the same status as chosen.
Position We select the criteria based on the position the employee has it set in salary parameters of the employee file. This means that the new position will be added only to those employees that have the same position.
Department We select the criteria based on the department the employee has it set in salary parameters of the employee file. This means that the new position will be added only to those employees that have the same department.
Cost Center We select the criteria based on the cost center the employee has it set in salary parameters of the employee file. This means that the new position will be added only to those employees that have the same cost center.
From Employee We select the employee from which we would like to add position. It is used only in a case, that we are adding individually to the employee where we do not use fields with criteria’s (they must be empty or in the status selected All statuses).
Employee To

We select the employee to which we would like to add position. In case we have in the field selected From Employee that the program will automatically select also in this field.

From Position

We select the position from which we would like to make a transfer. Here are displayed only those positions for which employee we have it entered in the panel Position / Salary.

It is used only in a case, that we are adding position individually to the employee where we do not use fields with criteria’s (they must be empty or in the status selected All statuses).

To Position From the position register we select a new position on which selected individual will be employed.
End Date We select the end date or closure of the previous position. The end date is entered in the previous position in the column End.
Start Date

We select the start date of the new position.

In case we have in the field From Position selected position that the program will enter in this field the date from the line positon from the column Start.

The start date is entered to the new position in the column Start.

Existing positions We confirm the switch if we are editing data on existing job positions.

 

WARNING
Here we can select only active positions, this is those that have in the position register confirmed checkbox in the header as Active.

2. Use Old Fields from Salary Parameters

In case Use Old Fields from Salary Parameters checkbox is confirmed then the position, department, superior and salary grade will be transferred from the previous position from salary parameter instead of position register.

Warning
For copying from previous position it is necessary to confirm the checkboxes for superior, department, salary grade/step.

 

Warning
A new position can be added only to active employees, who have the Employment record open.

3. Use Fields from Salary Parameters

In case we would like to keep parameters for salary calculation from the previous position then check the checkboxes Use Field from Salary Parameters and Use Settings form Salary Parameters.

If the checkboxes are confirmed than copying will copy the parameters from an old position to the one. 

4. Custom and Text Fields

If the checkbox Include Custom Fields is confirmed including with the additional individual checkboxes, then checked custom fields will be transferred to a new position.

If the checkbox Include Text Fields is confirmed including with the additional individual checkboxes, then checked text fields will be transferred to a new position.
