The second example of identification by using the serial numbers can be observed in the case of UCC/EAN for identifying and registrating bovine animals and cattle, pursuant to the European Union regulation EC 1760/2000. It repealed the Traceability of beef regulation (EC) No 820/9 document of 1997.

008006.gif By standard it is prescribed that identification should be carried out according to UCC/EAN-128 symbology, which is solved by using a longer barcode with the following additional information:

(01) - denotes that the GTIN number follows

98712345670019 - the GTIN number for that specific piece of meat. The initial 9 marks that a variable quantity will follow (in this case weight).

AI(3102) - denotes that the weight follows

003725 - denotes the weight (37.25 kilograms)

AI(251) - denotes that the cattle ID follows

NL21243857 - the cattle ID (in this case it is from the Netherlands, therefore NL)

AI(422) - Marks that the ISO code for country of birth follows.

208 - Denmark

AI(251) - denotes that the animal's ear tag information follows

DK0999902002 - the animal's ear tag information

AI(423) - odenotes that the ISO code of the country of production follows

276040 - Germany. Austria

AI(7030) - Marks that the ISO code of the country of slaugther follows.

056UDI098H - Belgian slaughterhouse UDI098H

Enter the following fields:

Line Length Text Length Fill Align Payable Internal Type SQL
10 2 2 None Yes Default
T1;select '01' as T1

IDENT;select IDENT from PROMETPOZ where KLJUC = '#KLJUC#' and POZ = #POZ#
30 3 3 None Yes Default
T2;select '422' as T2
40 3 Country of birth 3 None Yes SQL
POREKLO;select POREKLO,DRZAVA from DRZAVA order by DRZAVA
50 3 3 None Yes Default
T2;select '251' as T2
60 12 Ear tag 12 None Yes Default

Now open the Items register and the corresponding item with the GTIN number as ID as well as set the following two parameters in the Serial Numbers panel:

Field Value Reason
Serial Number Tracking O - Compound Serial (batch) You can perform tracking by kilograms where the same serial number (traceability) is used and a different quantity.
Serial Number Templates register BCT Use the template that you defined above.

Usage

Selecting the corresponding ID and enter the appropriate quantity 32896.gif
opens the window where you can select serial numbers.

You can add new records by entering Stocking (a country register appears displaying locations where stocking took place).
