Item type E – packaging can be used whenever you want to monitor the item stock only in terms of quantity.

Example:

Supplier delivers goods in returnable packaging, that is, in EURO palettes.

When receiving you should record goods received AS WELL AS the receiving of returnable packaging. Nonetheless stock value shall not be charged with the value of packaging.

What next?

1. Items Register

Open packaging ID in the Items register:

• Select PALLETTE (PLT) and item type E - Packaging with the default item type 600 - Packaging .

2. Recording Packaging Received

When receiving goods to be sold you can enter the line for receiving in the actual quantity of PALLETTE item delivered.

Inspecting the PALLETTE item stock shows how much packaging do you have in store. Regardless of the item's price the STOCK VALUE shall be equal 0.

3. Returning Packaging

You can return packaging by first creating the document of issue (no amounts) or the document used in internal issuing and thus relieve inventory of stock in terms of quantity.
