Global Search form

The Global search form is opened if, in the database, there is more than one record that matches the search string. On the form, the desired record can be selected from the list. The columns of the results can be sorted in the same way as in the Search table.

Table of contents

  1. Global Search form header
  2. Display of results

1. Global Search form header

The header of the form contains the Search for field, where we enter the string we want to search for.

By checking the checkboxes, we specify by which data the program should search for the entered search string. We can check one or more buttons.

We can choose to search by:

  • Documents
  • Items
  • Item names
  • Serial numbers
  • Contacts
  • Subjects
  • Subject names (name2)
  • External IDs
  • Fiscal numbers

2. Display of results

When the search results are displayed, the categories of the records found are displayed on the left side of the form.

When we select a category, the results that match the search criteria and the selected category are displayed on the right side.

Double-clicking on the desired search result opens its register or document.

HINT

You can sort the columns of the search result, as it is described in chapter Sorting records in the search table.
