Purchase orders

In PANTHEON, purchase orders can be accessed in the module Orders.
The module Orders enables you to track sales and purchase orders. Purchase orders issued to suppliers can be the basis for creating a document for the receiving of goods. Different types of order documents can be used to provide better overview of purchase orders. The documents can be customized by a specific supplier, country of import or by other parameters.
At the fictional company Tecta, the purchase order documents are used to order materials for the company's own products, to order finished products from suppliers and to order drinks at the in-house bar.
The purchasing process at Tecta is illustrated in the following chapters:
Description of purchasing process

Tecta is a manufacturing company. For manufacturing to run smoothly, one of the most important conditions is that raw materials are purchased from suppliers. Purchasing can be defined as a business activity that is responsible for supplying all the necessary materials and providing the company with the necessary information. This chapter presents a description of the purchasing process. |
Creating a purchase order
|
Tecta purchases from suppliers based on manufacturing needs. In PANTHEON, purchase orders include creating a purchase order based on sales orders or stock data (minimum, maximum and optimum), automatically creating purchase orders based on past sales, monitoring partial purchases, analysing demand, etc. This chapter shows an example of how to create a purchase order. |
Creating a receiving document (goods)

Once an order is issued to a supplier, the supplier delivers the raw materials ordered. Tecta creates a receiving document at the time of receipt, which increases the quantity of items in the warehouse. This chapter shows an example of how to create a document for receiving goods. |
