Microsoft SQL Server

 

PANTHEON software requires a SQL server to run. For smaller setups, a stripped-down version of MS SQL 2019 Express is sufficient. If you have a large number of PANTHEON users on your network, then you need Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Standard or higher.

Here are the differences between the free and paid versions of SQL Server:

WARNING
  1. For more information on the differences between SQL Server editions and technical guidance, please visit the SQL Server website.
  2. Microsoft SQL Servers running on Linux are NOT supported. Microsoft SQL Server on Linux does not support all featuresof servers running on Windows operating systems, and as a result, PANTHEON may not function properly..
  3. As of January 2022, PANTHEON X is no longer supported on servers lower than 2016. It is recommended to use Microsoft SQL Server 2019.
