The process of creating the Basic Timetable

Before starting the creation of a new Basic Product Line, the person responsible must have a detailed plan for the production of the new product, listing all the quantities of materials used, work operations, resources, etc.

CASE SUMMARY The person in charge of the production, Peter the Producer, wants to create a basic assembly line for a new LARA3 tent. He first creates a new ident in the ident code list and then enters the materials and work operations in the basic assembly line of the ident according to a pre-prepared plan. It then adds alternatives to the assembly and attaches an instruction document to the assembly. The created cut sheet is saved in the history where it is always available for consultation in case you want to modify the cut sheet at a later stage. At the end of the process, it performs a pre-calculation to check the manufacturing costs of the new product.

Process description:

1. Ident Preparation– before starting the creation of the Basic Piece List, the ident must be properly prepared in the Ident Shifter.
2. Creating a cutting line– creating a new Basic cutting line starts with entering Materials and Work operations according to a predefined plan.
3. Create alternatives– with the Add an alternative tool we have the possibility to add alternatives to the Basic Piece List.
4. History record We store the cuttings in a history where they are always available for consultation.
5. Document loading– we include documentation used during the production process in the batch book.
6. Precalculation We calculate the manufacturing costs of products or semi-finished goods that are produced in a manufacturing process by selecting different criteria.
