Distribution Keys
Distribution keys allow splitting costs, revenue, expenses, etc. among departments (organizational division), cost centers or / and account numbers. The left-hand side holds the IDs and descriptions (names) of distribution keys, while the right-hand side displays among which departments, cost centers, account numbers the selected distribution key splits amounts and at which percentage.

The sum of the distribution percentages for this distribution key. |
Distribution Keys
| ID |
It displays the ID of this distribution keys, which can be up to eight characters long. |
| Name |
It displays the name or description of this distribution key. |
| Chart of Accts. |
Each distribution key has so many versions, such as the chart of accounts in the Pantheon. For each version can enter different accounts that will be used for each chart of accounts. |
Allocation according to the distribution key
| Department |
It displays the department to which a part of the amount should be distributed. |
| Cost Center |
It displays the cost center that should be charged. |

Account for Costs
|
It displays the account numbers that will be used at allocation according selected distribution key.
|
| Percentage |
Here is displayed the percentage of the total amount that should be assigned to this combination of department/cost center. |
| VAT |
Select tax types that will be used at allocation according selected distribution key to invoice positions. Due to possible different tax rates the amount due of the received invoice changes. |
Distribution keys defined in this way can then be used in invoices received, journal entries or templates for automatic posting.
