Creating a new postal code

The list of postal codes contains both domestic and foreign postcodes, speeding up the user's work with the program and reducing the chance for errors when entering data. Postal codes can also be added as desired.
This chapter shows how to enter a new postal code into the Postal codes register.

CASE SUMMARY
The person responsible wants to add a new postal code for Austria (2024 Mailberg) to the Postal codes register. This is done as follows:
- Opening the list of postal codes
- Entering a new postal code

1. Opening the list of postal codes
To open the Postal codes register, the person responsible clicks Registers | Postal codes from the main menu.

This opens the Postal codes register, where all postal codes entered in the program are displayed.
To create a new entry, the person responsible clicks the button New postal code in the top right corner of the window.

2. Entering a new postal code
This opens a new form with empty fields where the person responsible enters the data for the new postal code.

In the field Code, the person responsible enters the new postal code, in this case: 2024.
In the field Name, the person responsible enters the name of the town with this postal code: Mailberg.
The person responsible finishes creating the new postal code by clicking the button Save.

WARNING
In the field Code, the program does not allow creating a duplicate code. If a code already exists, the program returns the message: Text with this code already exists.
