Using PANTHEON licenses

This chapter presents various use cases for PANTHEON licenses.

  1. On-premise PANTHEON installation
  2. PANTHEON Cloud
  3. PANTHEON Web solution
  4. PANTHEON Retail Mobile POS
  5. Table showing use cases for PANTHEON licenses

1. On-premise PANTHEON installation

On-premise PANTHEON installation means that the user installs the program and database on a local (on-premise) server or computer after purchase.

In this case, the user is responsible for the database and for upgrading the program to new versions (or a support consultant can provide this service if agreed).

Upgrades to new versions are possible if the user has a valid upgrade contract. By paying for the PANTHEON license, the user acquires the right to use the software suite.

WARNING

2. PANTHEON Cloud

PANTHEON Cloud means the lease of data space on the servers of the local Telco company and the lease of PANTHEON software suite, which the user installs on their computer. An internet connection is required for operation. The program is upgraded by Datalab.

WARNING

For more information on the rights of PANTHEON Cloud users, please see the Special Terms of Use for the Datalab PANTHEON Software Suite.

3. PANTHEON Web solution

PANTHEON WEB is an online solution. Users can either rent a PANTHEON WEB license (PANTHEON Cloud) or purchase a PANTHEON WEB license, then install it on local servers and use Microsoft IIS to enable the license to be used online.

No installation of PANTHEON WEB is required as the solution is used via the Google Chrome web browser.

4. PANTHEON Retail Mobile POS

PANTHEON Retail means leasing the data space on the servers of the local Telcom company and renting an application that the user installs on an Android tablet or smartphone. An internet connection is required for operation.

WARNING

For more information on the rights of PANTHEON Retail users, please see the Special Terms of Use for the Datalab PANTHEON Software Suite.
