Refreshing Schedule Plan

The Refresh Schedule Plan form allows you to set the criteria to recalculate the FMP (Forward Material Plan). All the calculated data is then visible on the Schedule Plan form and on all the linked tabs.

Below, see a use case for this feature.

Case summary

The person responsible would like to set the criteria for the recalculation of the FMP.  They open the Refresh Schedule Plan form, select the desired criteria and calculate the plan. They do this by following these steps:

  1. Refresh Schedule Plan
  2. Establish Criteria - Take into Account
  3. Select the Calculation parameters

1. Refresh Schedule Plan

The person responsible accesses this form from the Schedule Plan by clicking the  (Refresh) button.

Hint

In addition to the mentioned method, you can access this form by clicking Wizards, selecting Refresh from the dropdown menu, or using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + 1.

Then they select if the y want to schedule tool, resource and employee requirements.

In our case, they want to calculate only resources, so they select Resource Schedule checkbox.

2. Establish Criteria - Take into Account

In this section, they can set a wide variety of parameters to be used in the calculation.

First, they click on Plans, where they can Current Plan Only, so only current plan is used in calculation.

After that, they select that avaliable stock will be used in calculation and also stock from sales orders, purchased order and unfinished work orders will be considered in caluclation.

So they check the following checkboxes:

  • Stock,
  • Sales Orders,
  • Purchase Orders and
  • Work in Progress.

After that, the person responsible clicks the Refresh button.

3. Select Calculation Parameters

In this section, all the selected parameters for the recalculation are displayed in a coherent table, for an easier review before or after the recalculation of the Schedule Plan.
