MEDT/SEDT attributes serve the following purpose:

  • internal MEDT/SEDT fields on a computer contain the date and time of the last successful transfer;
  • the branch office (slave) sets the SEDT field in the e-mail to the current time and date, and exports data that has been changed since the date and time in the internal SEDT field;
  • the main office (master) sets the MEDT field in the e-mail to the current time and date, and exports data that has been changed since the date and time in the internal MEDT field;
  • successful import from the branch office (slave) sets the SEDT/MEDT fields in the main office (master);
  • successful import from the main office (master) sets the SEDT/MEDT fields in the branch office (slave);
  • if the import is not successful the SEDT/MEDT fields remain unchanged.

The e-mail subject contains the following information:

  • SE/ME indicator (SE = slave export, ME = master export),
  • nnn - profile number,
  • /nnn - consecutive number of the export.
