Split WO

The Split WO tool in PANTHEON enables you to split costs on a WO after finishing production or a certain time period. These can be costs of additional small materials used during production, several services (electricity, water, ...), and other costs created before, during, or after production, etc. By splitting the WO, you get more accurate prices for products the company manufactures.

The following case presents how to split cardboard box material on Work Orders in PANTHEON.

WARNING

In the case of multi-level Work Orders, it is recommended to execute the split for each level separately, so the calculated prices are as accurate as possible. For more information, see the chapter Split Materials.

CASE SUMMARY

The person responsible Marc Manufacture splits the cost of materials – four cardboard boxes used during the production of semi-products – on a WO for LARA3 semi-products. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening Split WO
  2. Selecting the Split Type
  3. Selecting Criteria to Select WO for Splitting
  4. Selecting the Split and Materials
  5. Splitting the WO

1. Opening Split WO

The person responsible selects the (Split WO) or (Wizards) button and Split WO from the list in the Process Work Orders window. A Split WO window opens.

2. Selecting the Split Type

After opening the Split WO window, the person responsible selects a split type.

In the case of this WO, the material costs are being split, so the person responsible selects the Split Materials checkbox.

Next, the person responsible selects criteria for selecting the WO where materials are being split.

HINT

For more information about splitting costs on a WO, see the chapter Split Costs.

3. Selecting Criteria to Select WO for Splitting

In this case, the material costs on a processed WO for LARA3 semi-products created in the case Creating Work Orders are being split.

In the WO Criteria section, the person responsible selects time period June 2022 in the Date From / To fields.

In the WO Status window, the person responsible selects the checkbox Partially Finished.

In the Document Type window, the person responsible selects the checkbox 6000 – Manufacturing.

In the Product Item Type and Component Item Type windows, the person responsible leaves all checkboxes marked.

Clicking the Refresh button shows the selected WOs.

4. Selecting the Split and Materials

Next, the person responsible selects WOs from number 22-6000-000019 to 22-6000-000023 on the WO List tab.

From the list in the Splitting Mode field in the Split Materials section, the person responsible selects Value of Materials Used. For the Split Date, the person responsible leaves the default date – date of executing the split.

The person responsible checks the Create Work Preparation checkbox.

Into the Item field in the table, the person responsible enters CARDBOARD_BOX from the list and sets the quantity 4.

Clicking the Refresh button runs the calculation. Data about the split are visible in the WO List window.

5. Splitting the WO

When all criteria is selected and the split type selected is correct, the person responsible executes the split by clicking the Run button. Data is entered on selected WOs, suitable Issue Slips are created, the product's price is recalculated and the split protocol is displayed.

The change is visible in the of the selected WOs. On the tab Linked Documents – Issue – Materials, the document with which the materials from the split was split on WO is visible.
