1. Selecting a Register

First open the Countries register from the menu.

Click the new record 016036.gif button in taskbar. A blank form made ready for entering of a new country is opened.

 

The Countries register is used when entering in the Items register, creating financial report for Bank of Slovenia, tracking orders and invoices, reports, in custom warehouses, imports, etc.
The basic set of countries are already entered and you can enter additional ones at will.

Enter country's name and select the code of currency from the Currencies register which is used by import/export. Use it to enter a new record to the Subjects register (either customer or supplier). Of course, you can change default values at will. Select code of currency which is used when importing to or exporting from the country. Enter ISO code is a code of country (as used in Datalab Atena). Enter tax number prefix which is a two-character prefix containing the country code used for tax numbers or VAT identification numbers in accordance with the Rules on implementation of the VAT Act (Official Gazette 17/04). It is used when entering tax prefix in the Subjects register. Usually it is equivalent to the ISO code; except for Greece.

Enter a three-character country code as used by your National Bank in the Origin field. Enter code of customs union the country belongs to in the Customs Union field (e.g. 1 for EU, 2 for EFTA, 3 for CEFTA). If you set a unique codes for countries, create Tax Types or Customs Duty Rates register based on the rate valid across the entire customs union. Enter international incoming calling code of a country in the Calling Code field. The Language field is used in Datalab Atena. Enter citizenship which is used in employment records and M form code which is used when filling out M forms.

000001.gif Use ISO code to determine whether a country is a EU Member State or not because you must specify ISO codes in Intrastat reports.
