General journal by Posting Date

The usual journal entry report in form 064 - General journal - detailed by journal entries sort data by target date.

If we would like to change sort on report from target date to date posted, we should create  new, users report. In new report sort date can be changed in the field "Sort" of form to define report format.

Users report is most easily created as clone of the existing one (see an example Report Duplication).

The recommended method at creating of report is by criteria as shown bellow:

  • G.DatumTeme - sort date (journal entry header) by posting date, that do not include also time of the record
  • G.DatumZap - additionally sort date by date and time of saving entries (document header)
  • G.Kljuc - sort by  number of journal entry  position
  • P.Poz - number of journal entry position

So the records that have for example, the same posting date will be sort by saving time of journal. If also saving time of data is the same, they will be sort  by journal entry number, and at last by position number on journal entry.

Criteria to sort should be entered in the field "Sort By" of the report type register. Criteria must be separated by a comma.

Since this posting date becomes a criterion for sort, we should change target date with posting date in the report itself.
