Select a General tab to open a panel displaying general information of specification. Enter any relevant data missing.

 

 

Selected Alternate Displays active or selected Alternate for which Alternate Status and Note are shown. Selected alternate can be changed in tab Alternative or. by selecting other Alternate in Filter Altern. in task bar. 
Item Displays an ID of the selected specification or item for which you want to create a specification. On the right you can view the item's.  
Item Type Displays an item type.  
Prim. Cat. Displays a primary category ID.  
Sec. Cat. Displays a secondary category ID.  
Active Alternate Enter or select an active alternate to use in planning production. The alternate 0 is set by default since it usually handles of a basic type of specification. Only alternates in product specification appear in the Active Alternates dropdown. The operation will fail when trying to delete all lines of active alternate. That is, before attempting it you have to modify active alternate.
Optimum Qty Enter optimum quantity required for production of assembly. Assemblies should normally be produced in optimum series because this ensures minimum total cost of production and warehousing of the item. With help of this data the correct set-up time is used in calculating production time and production cost.
U/M Displays a primary unit of measurement (U/M).
Doc. Type for WO Enter or select an ID of document type of manufacturing for work order of assembly. Set default value of item in the Specification panel. To do the same, set document type in the Items panel of Program Parameters in Administration Panel.
Overview Set date and time when overview was carried out, that is, when the specification was verified. On the right you can view ID of reviewer, that is, the user who created overview.
Create Displays date and time when the specification was created plus login ID of user who created specification. It is entered automatically when opening a specification. By creating a new specification simply by copying the existing one, the user who copied specification gets displayed in the newly-created one.
Change Displays date and time of change plus login ID of user who made changes. It is entered automatically after last change.
 
Alternate Status Displays in which status is Alternate and can be changed for Selected alternate. By double click on this field a register for Specification Statuses is opened.
Alternate Note Displays note on Alternate and can be changed on this screen for Selected alternate.
