  1. Enter any name and description for component in Name and Description field. 
  2. Paste an SQL query in the SQL box. It cannot exceed 8000 characters. Right-click and select Edit in SQL Editor command from the menu if you want to edit SQL query in editor. Besides other data, the query must include longitude and latitude. Use the data that can be found in the Subjects register.

  1. To prefetch data instead of running SQL query when opening dashboard, check Prefetch Data. After selecting this option, click Apply SQL. You have to click it also whenever you change an SQL query.

  1. Click Apply SQL.
  2. Select type In Marker Type box (columns or markers).

 

  1. Set columns for width, legth (coordinates), value and description (e.g. width -> anWidth, length -> anHeight, description -> anDesc).

    • To display multiple data series obtained from various SQL query columns, add a new record in Link Data and follow the procedure mentioned in the previous item. Add new records using down arrow key , or 005058.gif.
    1. Set filter. Take care to set criteria wisely. Typically, the filter is equivalent to the WHERE statement in SQL query.                
    2. Check Use "Total" for dashboard component.            
    3. To display markers according to the set zoom level, check Group. When zooming in, markers get displayed gradually (that is, by a rule of proximity - how many markers is already displayed in that area). All markers will be displayed using zoom level 13 or more. Maps can be loaded faster when greater volume of data are involved.
    4. Click 023791.gif to confirm it.
