Import data from milking robot

Import data from milking robot

Data from milking robots can be imported from different sources for different animal types (cows, sheep, goats). These sources are most milking robots and custom Excel file. As all files can be customized, some settings have to be reviewed before import.

File import settings

In administration panel (under panel Milk) files for each import source are defined. Currently supported milking robots are shown in the table. Besides milking robots, custom Excel file is also added.

As you can see file structure is already defined. If you would like, you can manually change column order for each source separately. You can set 15 columns in Excel and choose between currently added fields. There are two similar fields Animal ID and Life ID. The difference between the two is that Animal ID is ID in PANTHEON Farming and Life ID is ID in milking robot (mainly ID of electronic tag).

Data import

When you open form for milking data import, new modal window will appear. In header of this window there are few functions:

  • Import from file button: enables you to select file for import
  • Source: enables you to select source (milking robot) of import
  • Warehouse: enables you to select warehouse, where milk will be added. Warehouse can be set as default in administration panel (under panel Milk).
  • Date format: if milking robot uses different date format in exported file, date format can be defined in this field.

When file is imported to modal window, columns without values will be automatically hidden. If some Animal ID fields are empty and marked red, this means that link between animal in PANTHEON Farming and animal in file was not found. In such case you can update Excel file and import it again or select appropriate animal from dropdown in modal window.

Once all animals are linked, data can be saved to milking journal.
