Installing PANTHEON Clients

These instructions are intended for existing and new PANTHEON local users. They are based on an example of version:

  • Current version: 10.0.40.12
  • Release date: 14 February 2025
  • Next version: 10.0.41.00
  • Expected release date: March 2025

HINT

You can check the current versions of the program on the UserSites – https://usersite.datalab.eu/.

The user installation will be shown in the following steps:

Table of contents

  1. Preliminary settings
  2. Downloading the PANTHEON program package
  3. Running PANTHEON

1. Preliminary settings

Before manually installing PANTHEON, it is necessary to make sure that the configuration file.ini, which shows PANTHEON the path to which database and server it should connect, is set correctly.

The version of the database connected to the server must also be checked.

HINT

The version can be checked by following the instructions here, using the command: select * from tpa_sysparamsys.

WARNING

The version will be written in the AA.B.CC.DD format, which means:

– AA.B – major version of PANTHEON
– CC – minor version (build)
– DD – minor version fix (patch)

It is necessary to check that users from the database are connected to the SQL Server (transferred).

2. Downloading the PANTHEON program package

In this step we select and download the PANTHEON program package. All Slovenian versions of the PANTHEON program package can be found on the public Internet FTP site: http://ftp.datalab.si/upgrade/eu/release/ (paste the link into a new web browser window).

HINT
  1. On the FTP, PANTHEON version numbers are separated without dots. Example: 10.41.00.
  2. We are looking for files with the prefix dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_100XXXX.7z to download, where XXXX are the latest version numbers of the minor release and patch.

  3. For an easier browsing of the versions, we recommend that you sort the list of all files by date descending/Last modified.

Below is a list of the last few versions of the PANTHEON program package:

1004011 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1004011.7z
1004010 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1004010.7z
1004000 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1004000.7z
1003930 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1003930.7z
1003920 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1003920.7z
1003910 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1003910.7z
1003900 dlPantheon_SQL_EU_EU_1003900.7z

The user downloads the program package from FTP and saves it to the folder where the .ini file was previously created. In this case, to the location C:\Datalab.

The user extracts the program package with the appropriate extractor. In the same location – C:\Datalab –, PANTHEON.exe will be extracted.

To do this, the user right-clicks on 7-Zip and selects Extract here.

HINT

For a fast zip file extraction we recommend the free 7zip file archiver, available here.

3. Running PANTHEON

If we have successfully extracted the program and followed all the previous steps for connecting the database, adding users and editing the .ini file, we can run PANTHEON.exe and login as the AD user.

WARNING

PANTHEON.exe and PANTHEON.ini should always be downloaded to the same location, most often at C:\Datalab.

In this case, PANTHEON.exe will be able to read the path to the server and the database from the PANTHEON.ini file.

In the case of the first login to the database, the program will inform the user about the general terms and conditions and request confirmation of the GDPR.

After a successful login, the program will guide the user through the installation wizard. The user will edit the settings for the User, the Serial Number, Our Company, Document Data, etc.

HINT
  1. In case you only want to test the program as a DEMO version, you can close the wizard by clicking the X button.

  2. In case of a strict security policy within the company network, see chapter PANTHEON web services list, which contains the list of services that PANTHEON needs to operate smoothly.
