Delete

When entering data, the user may create a record or code that they want to delete later.

In this chapter, we will present an example of using the button Delete. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Ciphers | Owner and Animal Ciphers.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Animal Overview.

CASE DESCRIPTION

At the reception of the veterinary clinic, they received a student who is being introduced to the work. In the program, for the first time, he created a code for an animal. Since he has no experience, he created a code for an animal that is already registered in the program, but with a different identification number. The receptionist suggested that they delete the record. The procedure is described below.

  • The responsible person in the veterinary clinic created a code that is not needed. In Owner and Animal Ciphers , they select the code of the animal they want to delete.
  • To delete, click the button Delete.

  • The program returns a confirmation message: 'Do you really want to delete the animal?'

  • The responsible person clicks the button Confirm.
WARNING
  1. The code is permanently deleted and the record cannot be restored.
  2. You can only delete those codes that do not have linked records, i.e., do not have archives, created treatments, or other documents.
  3. The program performs a check and does not allow the deletion of codes that are in use. It returns an error: 'Deletion was not successful!'
