Process Work Order (WO)

Process WO is a tool that provides control over material issues on WO and receiving finished products to stock. The tool also enables reporting production time when executing a Work Order. Using this tool, Work Orders can also be closed or reopened.

This chapter contains a case presenting how to process a WO for semi-finished product LARA3_DOOR using the Process WO tool.

CASE SUMMARY:

Marc Manufacture wants to start working on Work Order 22-6000-000019. This is done by opening the Process WO tool. After opening, Marc changes the production date to 3.6.2022. Later, data about issuing materials and work operations will be reported to the tabs, and finished products will be received to stock. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening the Process WO Window
  2. Checking Data in the Document Header
  3. Processing WOs

1. Opening the Process WO Window

To open the Process WO tool, the person responsible selects WO 22-6000-000019 for item LARA3_DOOR in the Process Work Orders window and selects the (Process WO) button.

HINT

The Process WO form can also be opened by double-clicking the WO or clicking the (Process WO) button in the WO field on a specific WO line if the WO status is Released, In Progress, Partially Finished, or Finished.

If the WO status is Planned, Open, or Reserved, the Work documentation reports form opens.

2. Checking Data in the Document Header

In the Process WO document header, data about the WO, especially status and produced quantity, is tracked. You can edit data about the production schedule and close the WO.

The person responsible changes the WO production date to 3.6.2022. This is done by selecting the desired date from the calendars in the Start Time and End Date fields.

3. Process WO

The Process WO document contains three tabs for reporting material usage, completed work, and receiving finished or semi-finished products to the warehouse. Individual tabs are presented on the following sites:
