Shortcuts

In the left field press the button of the desired level (item group). In the middle of the field press the desired shortcut to transfer the item to the document. The document is created on the right side of the screen. The default quantity is 1.

You can change the quantity of the selected item:

  • by entering the quantity with the numeric keypad (enter the quantity > * > shortcut of the selected item). Check also Chapter 4.5.Numeric Keypad.
  • By pressing the desired item on an already prepared document, an expanded menu (Chapter 4.4.) appears on the left side of the document, which enables the following options:
    • Changing the quantity of an item with the + and - buttons.
    • Removing the item from the document with the DELETE button.
    • Adding a percentage discount to the selected item by pressing the % button. The DISC. % window opens, where you can enter the discount % on the numeric keypad. Press OK to confirm. A discount has been added to the selected item, which you can see immediately in the selected line in the document. ATTENTION – depends on the user's permissions.
    • Changing the price – the PRICE button enables changing the price of the selected item. If you press the PRICE button, the NEW PRICE window appears, where you can enter the new price with the numeric keypad and then confirm it by pressing OK. You can see the changed price immediately in the document. ATTENTION – depends on the user's permissions.
    • Item information – by pressing the INFO button, a new window with the information about the item appears, including a picture if one is in the database.
    • Administrator login – by pressing the ADMIN button, a new login window appears where an administrator with a different access level can log in (e.g. negative sales, which the cashier doesn't have the appropriates permission for). They can perform the necessary tasks on the prepared document. More on that in chapter 4.4.
    • TheDESC button can be used to enter additional information about a selected item. In our case we added a description to the item Greek salad to be used as a printout on a kitchen printer. In the top right corner of the line of the selected item in the document, a new square appears with a question mark, which means that a description has been added to the item.
    • TheASSIST button is used for keeping track of who participated in assisting a customer. In our case we selected the item Burgundy. A sommelier helped some guests select wine in a restaurant. The user who was logged in selected sommelier John from a list and added him to the appropriate item line. This won't appear on the receipt but will be documented in a separate record.
    • Moving across the lines in a document – with the buttons UP and DOWN you can move the item up and down in the document.

Item List

Press the ITEM button. An ITEM LIST appears. By using the keyboard (the KEY button), enter the keyword or part of the article code or just select the item line that you want and press OK to confirm. The same procedure can be used when using the keyboard or searching in groups.

The selected item has been transfered to the document.
