3. Q&A

How to check which SQL version you are using?

In Microsoft SQL Management Studio run:

SELECT @@VERSION

Example result:
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 (RTM) - 16.0.1000.6 (X64) Oct 8 2022 05:58:25 Copyright (C) 2022 Microsoft Corporation Developer Edition (64-bit) on Windows 10 Enterprise 10.0 (Build 19045: )

What happens if the SQL version is older than 2017?

Datalab cannot guarantee full compatibility, security, and proper program operation and does not take responsibility for possible errors, security vulnerabilities, data loss, or incompatibilities that may arise from using outdated software.

WARNING

Microsoft supports running Microsoft SQL Server on Linux. However, SQL Server on Linux does not provide full functional equivalence with SQL Server on Windows. Some components and functionalities of SQL Server specific to Windows are not available or are limited on Linux. Therefore, PANTHEON is supported only on Microsoft SQL Server running on Windows operating systems.
