Settings – WF

Here in the Settings panel, you can integrate a workflow to any PANTHEON form and link it to different Datasets. These additional settings are optional.

Here, you can also change the default name (e. g. Workflow definition 1) that each workflow is assigned when created.

The form can be accessed on the Workflow Desing form by clicking the Settings panel.

Contents

  1. Header – general information about the workflow
  2. Links to Datasets
  3. Link to Buttons on a Form
  4. Available on Form – define the form, on which the shortcut to this workflow will be created.

1. Header – general information about the workflow

Icon

The default icon () of the workflow can be replaced by any icon from the Icon select window. The icon is used to create a shortcut to the workflow in the toolbar.

Name

The name of the workflow, which can be changed as desired.

Note

A longer description of the workflow, which can be changed as desired.

Identify

Identification code that is automatically created when a new workflow is created. The code can be changed as desired.

2. Links to Datasets

This grid shows links between the workflow and a dataset on a specific PANTHEON form. Here, you set the conditions that will be used to automatically run the workflow.

Name

From the drop-down list, select the dataset for which automatic start will be enabled.

HINT

The data of the desired form is only visible in the list if the form is open.

The name of the dataset can be retrieved on the PANTHEON form by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Q.

Link

From the drop-down list, select the form field specified in the Name field that you want to associate with the workflow. The value of this form field is checked as a condition for the automatic start of the workflow.

Operator

Select the operator to compare the values of the Link and Value fields.

You can select between the following operators from the drop-down list:

= equals

<> not equal

> greater than

>= greater than or equal

< smaller than

<= smaller than or equal

Value

Enter a value in the field to compare with the value of the linked form field (in the Link field) based on the operator selected.

3. Link to Buttons on a Form

The list shows the links between the workflow and the buttons on PANTHEON forms. Linking the workflow to the button means that the workflow will start automatically when the defined action for the button is carried out.

Name

From the drop-down list, select the name of the button for which the automatic start of the workflow will be enabled.

HINT

When inserting the name of the buttons to be integrated, the desired form where the button is located must be opened beforehand. The button name will then appear in the drop-down menu.

Link

The type of link or action is displayed, e.g. button click = Click.

4. Available on Form

In this grid, you can set the form and the button where you want to integrate the workflow. Without a shortcut, you have to find and run the workflow from the workflow definitions register.

Name

From the drop-down list, select the form on which you want to integrate the shortcut to the workflow.

HINT

When inserting forms to be integrated, the desired form must be opened beforehand. The form name will then appear in the drop-down menu.

Wizard type

Select the menu, in which the integration appears on the selected form: Wizard, Import/Export data or Reports.
