Nutrition

Nutrition in Farming cover complex system of plant nutrition.
Plant nutrition is together with sun energy, CO2, water and oxygen crucial production factor in agriculture. Plants via photosynthesis process stores sun energy into chemical energy converting CO2 and water into carbohydrates. For creating complex tissues, proteins, aminoacids and other plant material and metabolism plant need macro and micro nutrients. Macro nutrients are more important and usually plant need them in greater quantity.

Macro nutrients:

  • Nitrogen (primary macro nutrient)
  • Phosphorus (primary macro nutrient)
  • Potassium (primary macro nutrient)
  • Sulphur
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium

Micro nutrients:

  • Iron
  • Molybdenum
  • Boron
  • Copper
  • Manganese
  • Sodium
  • Zinc
  • Nickel
  • Chlorine
  • Cobalt
  • Aluminium
  • Silicon
  • Vanadium
  • Selenium

Farming in this stage of developement primary covers primary macro nutrients.

These nutrients are needed in certain quantity regarding plant and regarding yield. More about that is within topic "Nutrient Consumption".
On the other hand, when fertilizing, farmers are choosing different fertilizers which containes different percentages of these nutrients. More about it is within topic "Nutrient Content in Fertilizers".
There are some settings regarding fertilization methods where different methods can be set and Nutrient efficiances for different fertilization types can be set. There can be also color settings set within "Settings" topic.

Nutrition works at the moment only on Crops module but soon it will be functional on Fruits&Nuts and Grapes also.
