Predefined Workflow Calculate and post depreciation guides the user through the necessary steps to perform the calculation and posting of depreciation to the General ledger.

Case summary

The person responsible wants to run calculation and posting of depreaciation, but is unsure about the correct sequence of steps. In order to perform a correct depreciation calculation, she will use the workflow Calculate and post depreciation. She will  proceed in the following order:

  1. Download a predefined Workflow from Web service
  2. Run a Workflow

1. Download a predefined Workflow from Web service

The person responsible opens menu Settings | Documentation | Workflow Desing. Next, starts the button for Export/Import data and chooses option for Transfer Registers

Hint

Workflow can be integrated onto each form in PANTHEON, using settings Available on Form.

2. Run a Workflow

The person responsible runs a Workflow using button Run. The following messagge appears:

This workflow is divided into 2 sections:

1. Depreciation/revaluation calculation

2. Posting of Fixed assets depreciation

2.1. Depreciation/revaluation calculation

After running of Workflow, the form for Depreciation/indexation of fixed assets opens with Task comments:

In this step, user is obliged to enter the depreciation calculation period and then selects the button Approved.

Next, workflow guides user to Depreciation reports for verifying the Depreciation calculation for the selected period:

After checking of Reports, again selects the button Approved.

2.2. Posting of Fixed assets depreciation

Next, the form for Posting of Fixed assets depreciation is open, where user fills out the required fields and starts Posting of depreciation:
