OTOS's basic parameters are set here.

Profile

First, create profiles.

Number Internal three-digit profile number.
Profile name Name of the profile.

056013.gif Create a new profile by clicking the New profile button. Enter the profile's ID number. Save changes to a profile by clicking the Save profile button. Delete a profile by clicking the Delete profile button.

Properties

(transfer sequence) This parameter depends on whether you are running OTOS in the main office or in a branch office.
Export and then import (central) - use this if running OTOS in the main office
Import and then export (location) - use this if running OTOS in a branch office

Date of database synchronization

Date of synchronization The date when the databases where identical and the registers and user tables were set up. Only after registers and user tables are set up, changes are started getting tracked (for the purpose of synchronization), but only those that are specified as such.

Working directory

Directory The directory where OTOS stores temporary data for transfer.

056014.gif Specify the logical database name as it appears on the database server. Don't use ODBC aliases or other names.

056015.gif PANTHEON databases that are being synchronized with OTOS must each have a different serial number. Learn more Profiles.

056016.gif Each profile needs its own temporary directory. OTOS deletes the temporary files after they are no longer needed.
Only any attached files remain in the temporary directory.

056017.gif If you are running more than one profile on a single computer, it is recommended to assign each profile its own temporary directory. That way, processes running simultaneously won't overwrite each other's files.

056018.gif A changed profile (e.g. added another document type) that has already been used will not transfer documents in the newly added document type that have been created prior to the profile change. In this case, you need to reset the transfer that contains the added document type (either on the master or the slave).
Example: if a new document type has been added for transfer to the master, you need to reset the MEDT field. If a new document type has been added for transfer to the slave, you need to reset the SEDT field (either on the master or the slave).

056019.gif If OTOS falls out of the synchronization (numer of imports <> number of exports), e-mails can be left on the e-mail server.
Because most e-mail servers have a storage limit, it is possible that OTOS runs out of free storage space. In this case click the DeleteMsgs button in OTOS.
