Getting started

PANTHEON allows users to login using personal certificates. 

In this chapter we will show you how to set up personal certificate and use it to login to PANTHEON.

Case summary

The person responsible wants to use personal certificate to login to PANTHEON. They start by installing received personal certificate to their computer. Then they set Certificate login on their user in Administration panel. Certificate login is then available for use. They do this by following these steps:

  1. Installing personal certificate to computer
  2. Selecting the certificate for login
  3. Logging in with certificate

1. Installing personal certificate to computer 

The person responsible starts by installing received personal certificate to their computer. 

This can be done by simply executing the received .pfx file and following the necessary steps in the wizard.

2. Selecting the certificate for login

In PANTHEON they open the Settings | Program | Administration Panel. 

In the panel Users and Groups | Users they find their user and click on it using Right-mouse click.

They select Certificate login and enter the current password in the Old Password field.

In the Select Certificate form, they select the certificate for logging in and confirm by clicking on the Select button.

Logging in with certificate is now available.

3. Logging in with certificate

To login with certificate, the person responsible select Client Certificate option in the Authentication field in the PANTHEON login window, enters their username and click on Login button.
