WO Work Preparation

The WO Work Preparation tab displays the Manufacturing BOM, which is one of three BOM forms in PANTHEON Manufacturing. The Manufacturing BOM collects data from the basic BOM, but can be adjusted to your needs on the Work Order level, according to the availability of material and operative resources.

The following example presents data on the WO Work Preparation tab and how to edit them on the example of the semi-finished product LARA3_DOOR.

CASE SUMMARY:

On the WO Work Preparation tab, the person responsible views the Manufacturing BOM. The Manufacturing BOM can be edited and data about used materials and operations carried out can be tracked during production. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening the WO Work Preparation Tab
  2. Viewing and Editing Materials
  3. Viewing and Editing Operations

1. Opening the WO Work Preparation Tab

To view the details of an individual Work Order, the person responsible clicks in the Work Order Details window on the right side of the screen. The person responsible is going to view WO details for semi-finished product LARA3_DOOR. Selecting the WO Work Preparation tab opens the Manufacturing BOM, which before editing is a copy of the Basic BOM, and images of the semi-finished product and materials.

2. Viewing and Editing Materials

By selecting the Materials field, the person responsible views details about material lines. The Materials field works the same as the Materials field on the Basic BOM and contains the same tabs: General, User-Defined Fields, and Regulations. Additionally, the Manufacturing BOM contains the Production tab.

HINT

You can add material and work operation lines to the BOM on a WO. When added, the lines are coloured blue. This makes it easier to see any deviations and whether the Basic BOM of a product needs to be changed at all.

On the General tab of a Manufacturing BOM, there is a Line item analytics section, where you can view data about quantities needed, quantities used during production and a graphic display of the production progress.

On the Production tab, you can view and edit scheduling data of material lines on a Work Order.

HINT

For a case of editing material lines on the Materials tab, see the chapter Add Lines.

3. Viewing and Editing Operations

By selecting the Operations field, the person responsible views the work operation details. This Operations field works like the same field in the Basic BOM and includes the same tabs: General, User-Defined Fields, and Regulations. Additionally, the production BOM contains the Production tab.

By selecting the button on the operation line, the person responsible views the materials linked with individual operations.

The Production tab allows the person responsible to review and edit schedule data of the work operations on the Work Order.

HINT

For a case of entering and editing work operation lines on the Operations tab, see the chapter Entering Work Operations.
