1. Select this option in the Program Parameters

To use separate pricing for individual warehouses, first select (check) the Allow Separate Pricing for Each Warehouse option in the Program Parameters (Settings | Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Items | General).

2. Designate a warehouse with separate pricing

Enter a new warehouse: Separate Pricing Warehouse. It will represent your satellite retail location. Designate separate pricing for this warehouse in the Warehouse panel of the Subjects register.

3. Items Register - Separate Pricing for a Warehouse

The item ITEM01, with the general retail price of 240 EUR,  has a retail price of 279 EUR at sales location II (Warehouse Sales Location II). Go to the Costing/Pricing panel in the Items register and enter the price for sales location II in the  Retail Price column of the lines. Make sure the warehouse with separate pricing has been selected in the Warehouse column.

4. Receiving - Filling in and Creating Pricing

a. You are receiving 10 pieces of ITEM01 at the retail warehouse. The item has a purchase price of 150 EUR and a sale price of 240 EUR.

b. You are receiving 10 pieces of ITEM01 directly to the Separate Price Warehouse. In this case, the purchase price is 150 EUR and the sale price is 279 EUR.

5. Transfer

10 pieces of the item are transferred from the retail warehouse to the Separate Pricing Warehouse.

The transfer calculation for the destination warehouse, where the sale price is listed at 279 EUR:

6. Price Change

Now, let's change the sale price at the Separate Pricing Warehouse from 279 EUR to 320 EUR, with a stock of 20 pieces.

Once the price change document is confirmed, the pricing for the selected warehouse is changed:

7. Sale and Purchase Orders

You will sell 10 pieces of the item with the new retail price of 320 EUR from the Separate Pricing Warehouse.

8. Automatically Posting Material Consumption

Whether you've selected separate or general pricing for the automatic posting of material consumption will only matter if you've selected posting by retail price.

8.1. Posting a Receipt

The receipt to stock is posted at the retail price valid at the destination warehouse, according to the pricing in the receiving document.

The example from 4.b.: You are receiving 10 pieces of an item with a purchase price of 150 EUR and a sale price of 240 EUR directly at the Separate Pricing Warehouse.

8.2. Posting the Transfer

The transfer is posted:

  • To the credit side (for the issuing warehouse) at the retail price valid at the issuing warehouse, according to the pricing in the transfer document.
  • To the debit side (for the destination warehouse) at the retail price valid for the destination warehouse, according to the pricing for the destination warehouse.

Let's use the example from step 5. 10 pieces of an item are transferred from the retail warehouse to the Separate Pricing Warehouse.

8.3. Posting the Price Change

A price change document is posted by the retail price valid at the warehouse for which the price change document is being created and  which is also entered in the document.

Let's use the example from step 6. The sale price at the Separate Pricing Warehouse is changed from 279 EUR to 320 EUR for a stock of 20 pieces.

8.3. Posting Issues

Automatic posting of material consumption will post at the retail price valid at the issuing warehouse as entered in the pricing in the issue document.

Let's use the example for step 7. You're selling a customer 10 pieces of an item at the new retail price of 320 EUR.

9. Commercial Records

When you select the default and recommended method for reporting commercial records (see Price from Document Line), these will be reported using the sale price entered in the document upon receipt, issue, or price change. In the case of transfers:

  • the transfer (receipt) will be valued by the price in the pricing for the destination warehouse if the warehouse in the report appears as the destination warehouse;
  • the transfer (issue) will be valued at the price from the pricing if the warehouse in the report appears as the issuing warehouse
